Present and Past
Marijampolės kolegija (Marijampole College) provides practice oriented higher non-university studies alongside with the enhancement of personal creativity, self-expression and development. The only institution in higher education in the south-western part of Lithuania it cherishes its regionality making high quality academic and professional education available for the local community in a welcoming environment. It offers Professional Bachelor degrees in foreign languages, art and technologies teaching, pre-school and primary school education, Lithuanian languages and religion, music education, social education and social work, cultural activities management, accountancy, public catering organization, machine service and maintenance, tourism administration and business management, sewing technology and agricultural technologies.

Marijampole College was established September 1st, 2001 on the grounds of the amalgamation of the two former Marijampole Advanced School of Teacher Training and Marijampole Advanced School of Agriculture.
Administrative Body of Marijampole College settled in 2003.
Faculty of Business and Technologies is Former College of Agriculture (founded in Kvietiskis in 1926 as School of Agriculture to train farmers children in modern farming).
Faculty of Education Studies and Social Work is former Marijampole Advanced School of Teacher Training (founded in 1919 as Marijampole Teacher Seminary to train primary school teachers).
