Study program objective (s):
To train competent professionals with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, capable of designing and maintaining a high level of information systems for organizations, operating and maintaining hardware and software for computers and systems, designing, maintaining and managing computer networks, designing and maintaining computerized business information, electronic commerce systems in a private or in a public organization; to develop a creative minded specialist who can communicate, work in a team, and be accountable for his or her performance.
Graduates will be able to:
- To operate the hardware and software of computers and their systems.
- To operate computer and their system peripheral equipment.
- To operate and administrate computer networks.
- To analyze the need of information technologies and possibilities of their application in the organization.
- To implement and operate information systems in company activities.
- Develop software solutions that meet user needs.

- Know the legislation governing the chosen area of business, information protection laws, copyright and related rights laws.
- Organize your work responsibly and independently and work in a team.
Teaching and learning activities:
Lectures, practical classes, laboratory works, seminars, group work, individual work, presentations, discussions, coursework, final work. Innovative student-centered teaching and learning methods are used.
Methods of evaluating study results:
The main way of assessing subject studies is cumulative assessment. The components of cumulative assessment assess certain study outcomes provided in the study subject program. The final mark consists of the cumulative assessment components defined in the subject program: mid-term marks, practical tasks, independent work, examination. The percentage of these cumulative assessment components is determined in the study subject description. The student’s knowledge and skills are graded from 1 to 10.

Study subjects, practice:
Information Systems Technology study program consists of the following parts:
General subjects of college studies – 15 cr. (Professional foreign language, language culture and professional ethics, law, information technology).
Study field subjects – 96 cr. (programming, mathematics, internet technology, physics, engineering and computer graphics, discrete mathematics, computer architecture and operating systems, electrical engineering, PHP programming, computer networks, multimedia technologies, object-oriented programming, information systems and databases, software engineering, component technologies in information systems, project management systems, business and management basics, digital security, health and safety)
Professional Practice – 30 cr. (Computer Graphics and Programming Practice, Computer Networking and Operating System Practice, Specialty Skills and Final Practice)
Elective subjects – 9 cr.
Alternatively Electives – 21 cr. (Alternative Choice I (Web Systems Programming, Embedded Systems), Alternative Choice II (IT Service Management by ITIL Standards, Business Project Information Technology, Geographic IS), Alternative Choice III (Mobile Application Development, Interactive Multimedia Components)).
